About

What could the grandson of a 60’s F1 visionary and the son of a 747 Captain possibly have in common? Answer: an almost unhealthy passion for mechanical things namely, cars and watches. One morning, very recently, these two individuals decided to launch a website that would cater to fans of each and hopefully, both. The first step, as is so often the case with basement business planning , was to come up with a name. Why Coglife? Well, both cars and mechanical watches transfer power into movement via gears, often referred to as cogs. Secondly, talking/dreaming about one of these two things constitutes a significant portion of our lives. Our mission? To bring the two together in an engaging and accessible fashion.

Coglife wasn’t launched just to keep you up to date on the latest million pound car release or record breaking watch auction, it was launched to help bring two passions closer to your everyday, busy lives. It’s not highbrow, it’s not elitist and it’s not trying to be fashionable – Coglife is about getting to the very essence of these wonderful things whilst bringing you insightful, interesting and easily digestible content.

Coglife online magazine isn’t ‘one of those’ content sources purely featuring ridiculous, out of reach items (well it may occasionally) but more of the obtainable luxuries many young professionals aspire to. Coglife should help you understand the car and watch world a little better, and, hopefully, be just one source of inspiration for your future automotive or horological endeavors.

Everything from how to get the most ‘brake horsepower for your buck’ to ‘buying your first Rolex’ will be covered (with a little bit of motorsport thrown in). We hope you enjoy the site and happy cogging!

The Team

Charlie: Marketeering, Martial art practicing car nut and recent watch lover. He has had to love cars from an early age since he is the grandson of John Cooper, the man behind the Mini Cooper and Cooper Formula One team amongst other things. Ever since he watched Bruce Willis’ character Butch in Pulp Fiction continue on an outrageously dangerous pursuit to find his Grandfather’s watch he realized the significance of watches in many peoples lives.
